Junior Dragons train with the London Mavericks Netball Super League Team
What an incredible experience for our Junior Dragons, they were given the chance to train with the amazing London Mavericks Netball Super League (NSL) team
The London Mavericks team kicked things off with Kira Rothwell & Emily Andrew, with showing our girls some fantastic shooting techniques. The energy and excitement were sky-high right from the start.

The fun continued with a lively game of “Head, Shoulders, Knees… Ball!” by Razia Quashie & Chelsea Blackman — a brilliant way to sharpen reaction times and keep everyone on their toes.
Then it was time to drive for a pass! The girls got stuck in and showed great determination as they worked on their passing and positioning as a defender.
Next up, the girls practiced their “little feet” movement drills with Amelia Hall & Suzie Liverseidge — fast, agile footwork that helps build strong netball foundations.
But the highlight of the day? Meeting Camilla Buchanan, Head Coach of the London Mavericks & Ellie Rattu the Team Captain. The girls were absolutely in awe! Camilla gave the team some amazing advice and even stayed to watch them play in a mini-match, offering helpful tips and encouragement as they went on.

After the session, the girls had the special opportunity to sit down with two Mavericks stars — Vicki Oyesola & Emma Thacker — for a fun Q&A. They asked everything from training routines to what the players eat for lunch

To top it all off, the girls had loads of fun getting autographs, taking photos, and meeting their favourite Mavericks players.
